Some of the evidence for climate change comes from studying changes in weather patterns.

It is tempting to assume that 'global warming' means drier, warmer summers, and milder winters. Although this may be true in some parts of the world, increased rainfall and flooding are just as likely in others.

In many parts of the world there is already an increase in the frequency of 'extreme' weather events like tornadoes, drought and flooding.
